52 DIY Recipes for your Premium Starter Kit

Slide1

(1 recipe for every week this year!)

When I got my Premium Starter Kit from Young Living Essential Oils, I was super excited.  I also had no idea what to do with these 11 oils sitting on my kitchen counter. I immediately opened them, sniffed them, took some photos and opened up my Home Diffuser to get some oils in my air. I knew I wanted to make a lavender linen spray and add some Tea Tree Oil to my DIY Surface Spray, but other than that I was at a complete loss. After some research, I found many ways to use these wonderful little oils and I am now compiling them here for you to use as well.

Many of these recipes call for basic ingredients: purified water, carrier oils (coconut, sunflower, avocado, jojoba)  and liquid castile soap are good basics to have on hand. You’ll also need some glass containers to put them in. Most recipes call for: 2 oz Glass Bottles, 10 ml Glass Roller Bottles, 15 ml Glass Dropper Bottles or 4 oz Mason Jars. Or you can get this Glass Bottle 7 piece Starter Kit Set. Of course you’ll need 100% Pure Therapeutic Essential Oils, you can get those here. (These links are affiliate links.)

Enjoy!

#1 Sweet Sleep – Lavender Linen Spray

You know you’ve got a good product when your husband asks you to spray some on his pillow. Normally I just spritz this linen spray once on each of  my pillows. But the other night, my hubby looked at me with his puppy dog eyes and asked for a spray on his pillows! Now this is a keeper! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 20 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 2 oz glass spray bottle
  • purified/distilled water

Follow these directions: Add the lavender essential oil to spray bottle. Fill the remainder of bottle with purified/distilled water.

To use: Shake well before each use. Lightly mist on pillows before sleep.

#2 Aloe Lavender Eye Gel

This recipe came about because my little Yorkie mix pulled my cucumber face & eye gel out of my old toiletries box. I thought, well I know lavender is good for puffy eyes and aloe is great for the skin, how amazing would this feel together? It truly is an amazing feeling! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/4 cup pure aloe vera gel
  • 5 drops Lavender essential oil

Follow these directions: Mix aloe vera gel and Lavender essential oil well. Apply tiny amount to skin around the eyes. Be sure to use a small amount and allow the gel to dry so as not to get any in your eye. Store in refrigerator.

#3 Frankincense Smooth Skin Cream

Almost every woman needs a smooth cream at some point or another (especially after losing weight or having a baby). Who knew Frankincense was so amazing for skin? Plus the coconut oil in this recipe, you’ll feel like you’ve been pampered. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup shea butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive, sesame or sunflower oil
  • 15 drops frankincense essential oil
  • 15 drops other essential oil for fragrance (optional – I recommend Citrus Fresh, Lavender, Lemon, Stress Away or Joy)

Follow these directions: 1) Melt coconut oil and shea butter in a double boiler, in the microwave or on the stove. Be sure to stir every 30 seconds or so. 2) When melted, add the “vegetable” oil. 3) Place in fridge or freezer about 5 minutes to cool down. 4) When the oil is cool, but not yet firm, add the essential oils. 5) Using a hand mixer, whip up your mixture until creamy. I always whip a little, put it back in the fridge/freezer, pull it out and whip a little more until it’s a nice whipped texture.

To use: Apply to targeted areas 2-3 times daily. Be patient, natural products sometimes take a little while to show.

#4 Cooling Peppermint Foot Cream

The first time I made this was when my mother-in-law first started working with her house cleaning business.
