Can I just say that I love Mother’s Day? Mothers are so important to who we become. I’m thankful for all of the mothers in my life. I’m so grateful for my mother specifically. She raised us 4 kids well. She taught me to be myself and to grow up. Yet she still supports the things I choose to do. She’s probably my biggest fan (after my husband of course!). I’m also incredibly grateful for my mother-in-law. She started life over in her 40s when she and my father-in-law moved their family to a new country for the opportunities it provided her children. What an example of sacrificial love! She gave up everything she knew and was comfortable with for her children! (More on that later…)
Every year, I always struggle how to tell our mothers how much we really do appreciate them. I know that one of the ways I show love is by giving gifts, so I always like to give them something (even if it’s little) to portray the love I feel. This year, I know our mothers need something to treat themselves so I’m making it for them!
Lavender reminds me of both spring and mothers, so I’ve included lavender in all of these recipes. I sure hope they enjoy them and feel a little pampered at least.

Oh and I found an awesome deal from Sur La Table, so they get something special from there too!!!
Shhhh! Don’t tell our mothers that this is what they’re getting this Mother’s Day!
*Note: I only support the use of therapeutic grade essential oils, like the ones produced by Young Living.
